In 2012 England's "golf coast" will once again host the most prestigious golf tournament in the world when the open championship returns to Lytham St Annes golf club.The biennial junior open championship will accompany "The Open" to Lancashire.While the world's best prepare to mount an assault on the Claret jug in Lytham St Annes,the juniors will get underway at Fairhaven golf club 16th-18th july.

100 YEARS of the "greatest free light show on earth".Join us for the world's greatest light show as Blackpool illumination's celebrates it's centenary in 2012 and pulls out all the stops to be bigger and better than ever! They have certainly come along way from humble beginnings in 1912 when the illuminations were a few strings of lights on princess parade.At the last count there were well over one million in use along the promenade!.
On a further note Ardwick house is locate on York street,where the first privatley purchased street illuminations are located.
